Olive Oils Earn Top Honors at New York Competition

Great news from the East Coast! We’re proud to announce that ten of our featured extra virgin olive oils earned top honors at the first annual New York International Olive Oil Competition held at The International Culinary Center in New York City (April 16-18). Organized by Curtis Cord of The Olive Oil Times, the competition was judged by a panel of the world’s top olive oil tasters led by Itlay’s Gino Celleti, chairman of the Monocultivar Olive Oil Association.

After many long hours spent sipping through the more than 700 oils submitted, the judges revealed the best olive oils which included:

Frantoio Franci came away with two Best in Class awards, the highest award given at any olive oil competition. The other Best in Class oil from Franci was the Villa Magra, a part of our Frantoio Franci sampler.
